TEOH BENG HOCK'S INQUEST: Inquest adjourns, to resume tomorrow

One of the MACC officers, identified by the sixth witness from CCTV pictures, was believed to be the last person who saw Beng Hock alive.

This was revealed by Tan Hock Chuan, a lawyer in the AG's team during the inquest.

No names were given. The last witness for the day, Abdul Rahman Rahim was on duty the day of the incident.

The inquest was adjourned at 1.35pm and will resume at 9am tomorrow.

EARLIER REPORTS: Wan Rosli Wan Adam who is the fifth witness in the inquest identified pictures taken from the CCTV showing MACC officers leaving Plaza Masalam at 1.48am and 4.05am.

They include Beng Hock's recording officer and another who had interviewed the political aide.


Corporal Abdul Karen Othman from the Shah Alam police control room told the inquest he received a call from a Plaza Masalam security guard informing him a body was found.

It is believed to be a Chinese and may have committed suicide.
Abdul Karen is the fourth witness.

Lawyer Karpal Singh just entered the court.

Third witness, Mohd Khairul Izwan M. Nasir, a senior assistant security guard at Plaza masalam said he wento the the fifth floor corridor after being alerted by maintenance personnel.

He saw a body lying to his right and there was dry blood near the head.
He called police and covered the body with a black plastic bag for safety reasons.

Second witness, Mohd Ridzuan Samsuri, a technician at Plaza Masalam said he climbed through the rooftop to the service corridor on the fifth floor and noticed the body was not moving and that there was blood.

He said the person was pale and looked like a Chinese man. He panicked and immediately alerted his supervisor via walkie talkie.

EARLIER REPORT: Witness Siti Zabedah Yahya said she saw Teoh Beng Hock's body on the 5th floor corridor.

She was on the 19th floor and had wanted to close a window when she looked down. She thought he was resting or sleeping but felt strange as it was hot, so she dropped a screw to wake him but the person did not move.

Inquest begins. Lawyer Tan Hock Chuan who is in the Attorney-General's team told the court that to date, specimen samples were taken from 157 people including MACC officers, cleaners and police personnel.

Hearing commence with the first witness, a woman security guard, Siti Zabidah Yahya, 41.

The Teoh Beng Hock's inquest resumes today at Shah Alam magistrate's court.

Teoh Beng Hock's family members arrived in court for the inquest hearing at 8.30am.

Lawyer Gobind Singh Deo who is representing Teoh's family, arrives in court at 8.40am.

Press members who have been queuing since 6am, were finally allowed into the courtroom at 8.30am.

Ean Yong Hian Wah arrives at 9am

Parties involved are getting ready before Coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas makes his appearance to begin proceedings.
