Twinkle Twinkle Upperstar - Would a Steamboat get your far?

Two Dinners in One Night! I could still taste the fish ball in my breath.

I believe overeating is bad, but, sometimes you gotta do it. Here's the cover:

A food tasting session was organised to try out Steamboat Dinner at Nexus's Frangipani, which was the beachside eatery. So knowing that it's an actual food tasting, I ate something beforehand, deliberately to spoil my appetite, and so that I could really savour the taste of what's being served.

The setting was beautiful!! Sunset, quaint music in the background.... But it was drizzling! BOY!! So we were moved into Noble House, which was not too bad as it was air conditioned.

We had all sorts of yummy things! Slipper Lobster, giant tiger prawns, quail eggs, various fish, beef and chicken balls, squid slices, fish.... the list goes on and on...

There was more than enough food to go around with. And for RM 85++, nothing can go wrong especially with a beautiful beach setting (which we experienced seperately). We all enjoyed our food tremendously, and the service was impeccable. Even after I spoiled my appetite, the food was truely sumptous. I believe it all lies in the fresh ingredients.. Thinking of a a future romantic dinner now.. PERFECT!

OK, so I'm stuffed and ready to go home. Just out of the Nexus junction, when my best friend called me. 10:30 pm - Wanna go out to eat?

Huh? But I just had dinner.... Ah well, since it was my friend, nothing wrong to accompany him.

So I picked him up, and we went to Upperstar.. Boy! It's been years since I last set foot in that place.. I wonder what it would be like now? It used to be where people get drunk (cheaply) before going on pub crawls in KK.

I was surprised. A lot has changed over the years. The interior is completely different and suave, and they've even opened up a second level. Guess business has been good!

Against my friend's advice, I had alcohol that night; Ice-Blended Mango and Bacardi.... To Die For!

And My friend had Nasi Lemak.. Which he didn't finish.. Guess it wasn't that good..

Eventually went home past midnight.. Phew!! That was indeed a full day for me.

Kaamatan BBQ .... Not very Kaamatan are we?

Alright...

I believe it's been too long since I last posted something on my blog and finally I am cracking at it, lazily. :)

So, just over the mourning period, on Saturday night, my family organised a small get together since my Aunty and Cousins from Lahad Datu were in KK. I didn't even realise that a BBQ was on the way, until I saw clouds of smoke rising through my room window, which made me panic, as I thought my maid was on fire!! Kidding

Anyway, the feeling was jovial that night, kids running around like no one's business, cats climbing tables, Mommys getting excited over the prospect of striking 4-Digit, birthday candles to blow out, and the first ever chance of getting a glimpse at big sister's elusive boyfriend (which I missed as I went clubbing early). About the latter, it's true! I have a better chance of seing a live Tasmanian Wolf rather than ever seeing him.

Food was prepared by my little sister and the Mommys, while the eating was done by yours truly. Hmm.. Tasty chicken wings. Maybe because we have not had a BBQ in a long time.

Before I conlcude, two funny snapshots just to share with you; one is of course my niece, the other one is of my pet Louis.. hehehe
