Lisbeth & Colin - Congratulations!
Braised Tao Pau with Bamboo Weeds - My absolute favourite... WHY? Because when it came out, it looked like a dog just barfed over our vegetable. Dear Chef, please don't over 'sauce', especially with ingredients that are slippery and slimy as they absorb more fluid and take on wierd shapes.. The taste was good, but several people on my table refused to try it because it looked disgusting..SIGH
Curry Fried Rice with Chicken Meat and Prawns - Have we run out of ideas? Curried Fried Rice? Come on! Enough Said..
Anyway, rather than being progressively disappointed with the food, I diverted my attention to my friends as they were equally making fun of each other... :P

I feel yucky!!
Why?
Because I was caught in the rain last night. I was caught in the rain because of the bloody traffic jam. There was a bloody traffic jam because everyone was panic-buying fuel. People were panic-buying fuel because of the sudden announcement by the government to drastically increase fuel price. Enough said!
This was the first time I was made uncomfortable, by actions and decisions that were not thought off carefully. I can understand the rationale behind the price hike, but the sudden announcement to increase it overnight is ridiculous! I resent this.. Immediate consequences were mostly negative, while the mid and long term effect is still unknown. Textbook theories cannot be applied, as the world spins on a different motion now, governed by who's powerful, and power only comes with one thing; MONEY.. And we all most certainly don't have it..

Twinkle Twinkle Upperstar - Would a Steamboat get your far?
We had all sorts of yummy things! Slipper Lobster, giant tiger prawns, quail eggs, various fish, beef and chicken balls, squid slices, fish.... the list goes on and on...
There was more than enough food to go around with. And for RM 85++, nothing can go wrong especially with a beautiful beach setting (which we experienced seperately). We all enjoyed our food tremendously, and the service was impeccable. Even after I spoiled my appetite, the food was truely sumptous. I believe it all lies in the fresh ingredients.. Thinking of a a future romantic dinner now.. PERFECT!

OK, so I'm stuffed and ready to go home. Just out of the Nexus junction, when my best friend called me. 10:30 pm - Wanna go out to eat?
Huh? But I just had dinner.... Ah well, since it was my friend, nothing wrong to accompany him.
So I picked him up, and we went to Upperstar.. Boy! It's been years since I last set foot in that place.. I wonder what it would be like now? It used to be where people get drunk (cheaply) before going on pub crawls in KK.
I was surprised. A lot has changed over the years. The interior is completely different and suave, and they've even opened up a second level. Guess business has been good!
Against my friend's advice, I had alcohol that night; Ice-Blended Mango and Bacardi.... To Die For!
And My friend had Nasi Lemak.. Which he didn't finish.. Guess it wasn't that good..
